Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 June 2026
Homeschool Games.Online (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a library of wholesome, educational games for homeschooling families. We care deeply about protecting your family’s privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: the parent's name, email address, and a password (stored securely hashed — we never see your plaintext password).
- Children's details: the first names you choose to add to your family account, used only to label play and progress. We do not require a child's surname, birthdate, photo, or contact details.
- Usage information: which games are opened and play records (and a game score where applicable), so daily limits and progress work.
- Payment information: when you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers — we never receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
- To provide the service: sign-in, your library, daily-play limits, and your family's progress.
- To manage memberships and process payments.
- To keep the platform safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information, show third-party advertising, or use manipulative engagement tricks.
Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of strictly-functional cookies and browser storage: an authentication cookie to keep you signed in, your light/dark theme preference, and (for signed-out visitors) a local count of the free game played that day. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted providers to run the service:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing for memberships.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
These providers process data only to perform their service for us, under their own security and privacy commitments.
Children’s privacy
Homeschool Games.Online is designed to be used by parents and guardians, who set up and control the account. Children do not create their own accounts and we collect only a first name for them, entered by the parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us information without your consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to close your account and delete your personal data at any time (some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes).
Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and row-level database security — to protect your information. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your personal information, and request a copy of it, by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let you know.
